MY LAST POST WAS 6 YEARS AGO

Fuuuuhhhh berhabuk sangat dah blog ni

It's been 6 years since my last update on this blog. I am planning to start writing again, but I just don't know how and where to start. What I know is that I must start something, so this it is!!

New update on my life:

Well, I am a co-founder of a small company that started in 2020. We started with the food and beverages (F&B) business during MCO and I remembered our first customers were my friends and connections from Facebook. We started on May 2020, from a home-based business to a kiosk, then own a food truck. Our customers were from Shah Alam and Kuala Lumpur City Center. I would say, doing F&B business is easy business when you can tackle customers from office based such as banks, and clinics. Alhamdulillah, my income in one month is more than my salary at that time. On March 2021, my business partner initiated opening up a new business which is carpet in her hometown in Kedah, and I agreed and contributed in terms of modal, knowledge, and skills.

We had to stop the F&B business when we realized that our carpet business need its owners to handle it, so May 2021 was the last month our F&B business operated. We moved to Kedah and manage the carpet business by ourselves. to be continued . . . .

Ikhtilat

I've seen some of my friends who are currently in DNT hanging out with guys, eating at the same table, laughing and treating them as the guys were their family. Which brings to my mind, is it really wrong to hangout with the guys?

Ngehh

We have no idea what are on the guys' mind every time they see girls, communicate with them or even eating together with them. I googled about ikhtilat (No idea about it until I came to the States, since I spent my high-school in all girls school) and found Nouman Ali Khan's video entitled "Can Boys and Girls Be "Just Friends" ? | Ustadh Nouman Ali Khan".

Some of the situations that NAK describe in the video were similar to mine and really struck my heart!! When I first came here, I remember I did not really jaga my ikhtilat, but I still sensitive to touch though. I remember one of my guy friend touch me directly (he wanted to call me) and I give him a shocked look, huhuhu. Because I know that was wrong.

I bet girls really do not know the way guys look at them. Sometimes, I feel like it is woman's responsibility to help the guys handling with their nafs. STOP MEETING UNNECESSARILY WITH THEM!! The guys know it is wrong but they just cant avoid their temptation, it is really hard for them to do that.

Even if you are currently in relationship with someone and feels like she or he is the one, know that you guys are not married yet. What if your ajal comes first?

Ladies, it is fitrah for us to fall for the guys. Remember, Allah created us that way. But, Allah also created the test for us to test our iman. If you feel like you are overly attached with the guys, try to find more girl friends. It will helps. Most importantly, Al-Quran. Put Al-Quran closer to you, cause Allah promised, Al-Quran is our guidance and it is His words for us. From the Creator to its creation.

(O Prophet), enjoin believing men to cast down their looks and guard their private parts. That is purer for them. Surely Allah is well aware of all what they do.
(24:30)

And enjoin believing women to cast down their looks and guard their private parts and not reveal their adornment except that which is revealed of itself . . .
(24:31)

FIGHTING!!! CAST DOWN YOUR LOOK, CAST DOWN YOUR LOOK!!
Kerana sesungguhnya perjuangan yang rasanya pahit itu akan menjadi manis di akhirat kelak.

I wrote this because I care :'(

Luasnya Pengampunan Allah

Just now I had Usrah with adik2 in Afza's room. Today Chap gave tazkirah about bacaan during Duduk Antara 2 Sujud. It is really helpful to know and understand the meaning so that we can get khusyuk in our solat. Sometimes, we don't know which doa will be fulfilled by Allah. Thus, each doa/bacaan we recite during solat might be one of it.

Rabbi - Ya Tuhanku
Ighfirli - Ampunilah aku
Warhamani -Sayangilah aku
Wajburni - Tutuplah aib-aibku
Warfa'ni - Angkatlah darjatku
Warzuqni - Kurniakanlah rezeki kepadau
Wahdini - Berikan aku petunjuk
Waa'fini - Sihatkanlah aku
Wa'fua'nni - Maafkanlah aku

Tadabbur - Az-Zumar 48-56

Fitri shared about hidup "menumpang". She realized that as a small human being, she feels grateful and thankful to live on this earth. So, she will make sure she is always in wudhu' to show her gratefulness of given a chance living on this earth. She relates with this ayat, "Dan kembalilah kamu kepada Tuhanmu, dan berserah dirilah kepadanya sebelum datang azabNya kepadamu, kemudian kamu tidak dapat ditolong." (54) So, who gonna help us if not Him? You know your duty as His servant aren't you?

"Dan tidakkah mereka mengetahui bahawa Allah melapangkan rezeki bagi siapa yang Dia kehendaki dan membatasinya. Sesungguhnya pada yang demikian itu terdapat tanda2 bagi kaum yang beriman"(52). Eiman shared about rezeki. She said each people on this earth has different rezeki. Some people are rich, but unhappy. Some people lives poorly, but happy. We should not envy or feels unfair whenever we see other people's rezeki cause ours are already determined by Him. All we need to do is just believe in Him.

Fatin talked about the ayat that I plan to share. "Katakanlah, "Wahai hamba-hambaKu yang melampaui batas, terhadap diri mereka sendiri! Janganlah kamu berputus asa dari rahmat Allah. Sesungguhnya Allah mengampuni dosa-dosa semuanya. Sungguh, Dialah Yang Maha Pengampun, Maha Penyayang". (53) She said, dont give up on Allah. Ask for his forgiveness as He will surely forgives. She told the story about a slut gives water for a dog to drink. Afza added something but I can't remember. . .

This ayat can be related to Hadis 42

Anas RA berkata, Saya mendengar Rasulullah SAW bersabda, Allah swt berfirman,
"Wahai anak Adam selama engkau berdoa dan berharap kepada-Ku, nescaya Aku ampuni segala dosamu yang telah lalu dan Aku tidak pedulikan lagi.
Wahai anak Adam jikalau dosamu membumbung setinggi langit lalu engkau minta ampunan-Ku, pasti engkau Ku-ampun. Wahai anak Adam andai engkau datang kepada-Ku dengan kesalahan sepenuh bumi, kemudian engkau bertemu dengan-Ku dalam keadaan tidak menyekutukan-Ku sedikit pun, pasti Aku mendatangimu dengan ampunan sepenuh bumi pula."
Hadis Riwayat Tarmizi

There's a riwayat said that, if we (human) did not make sins, Allah will surely create another creature that make sins so that they would ask for His forgiveness. 2 stories that I shared that related to this ayat are pemuda who killed 99 peoples and Firaun who is drowning in the sea.

Pemuda who killed 99 people
There's a man who has hobby of killing people. After killed 99 peoples, he feels guilty and plan to change to a better person. He meets an Ustaz and ask whether is there any chance for him to change. The Ustaz said no as he already killed 99 peoples and will surely enter hell. Because of anger, he killed that Ustaz straight away. He still not giving up and believe there's chance for him. He meet another Ustaz. The Ustaz said "Dont worry, Pengampunan Allah itu Luas. You have to move to another town because it is difficult for you to change here as you already killed 100 peoples in this town." The man thank the Ustaz and starts to move to other town. On his way, ditakdirkan he passed away. 2 Malaikat, who taking care of heaven and hell fighting with each other to take this man. Malaikat neraka said, as he killed 100 innocent peoples, he deserves hell but Malaikat syurga insist to take the man to the heaven because of his niat to change. Allah ask them to measure the distance between the place the man died and the new town with the old town. The results shows that the distance to the new town is nearer and differ by sejengkal with the distance from the old town. The man finally taken to the heaven.

Firaun yang mati lemas
When the divided sea which helps Nabi Musa and his kaum run from the Firaun bercantum again, Firaun menyesal and ask Musa to pray to his god to save him. Musa who is really mad at Firaun does not help him. Firaun finally dead in kufur. There's riwayah states that if and only if Firaun ask forgiveness directly to Allah, and not through Musa, Allah will surely forgives him. But too late he did not ask it from Allah. There's another riwayah states when Firaun is drowning, Malaikat who knows sifat pengampunan Allah, put sands into Firaun's mouth so that he couldn't talk to ask forgiveness from Allah. Cause if Firaun ask, Malaikat knows Allah will surely forgives.

Alhamdulillah, too many things we learned tonight and yet there's still a lot more to discover.

Vain as long as you can

I have 2 exams this week, pray for me, thanks :D

May

Final math was pretty hard. I'm hoping for a curve.

Hmmm.

I am done with my second semester!!

Last night Dzharif and I sleepover at Hanisah's room. It was unplanned. Hamizah bought 20 chicken wings from obies and we watched Lego Movie. It ended up with only me watching the movie while the others do their own work. Dzharif? Dzharif was sleeping. That is why we sleepover there. This morning we helped Hamizah moving her luggage into Kak Niah's car. She will go back to Malaysia. I passed my two broken spectacles to her so that it can be repaired.

After we waving her bye, we went to CVS with Shafiqah to get some eggs for our breakfast. Shafiqah told us that Doc V have boxes if we would like to have one. And yeah, Dzharif and I went to fgh to get those boxes. We planned to stop by just for a while but then it turned out to be like an hour I guess. We chatted with Prof. Mazita about our academic stuff. She recommended us what course can we take and so on. I like the way she think. She will relate all the materials that she learnt with the surrounding. I adore the way she apply her knowledge. I hope I can think the way she thinks.

Well sometimes I don't understand why the upperclassmen don't really like Doc V. I agreed with Dzharif. She said, yes, Doc V is a bit pushy but he pushed us in a good way, for our own good. If they listened to Doc V, maybe all of them will succeed, graduate with Summa Cum Laude. And of course not to forget to pray to Allah. The one and only God.

Change for a better Syakie. Use your brain wisely.

Phonathon

Well today I woke up by a call from Dzharif at 8.52 AM. She said doc V needs our help. And yeah I told her I'll be there in an hour (I don't really tell her i guess, daaa). After we ended up the call, I checked on the weather. My phone said it was snowing!! With full excitement I jump off the bed and look at the window. Sadly, it wasn't. My phone lied. Well, literally it's not my phone's fault, it was the apps. Go Weather whatever. Nahh, that's not the point. My point is, today we had a

PHONATHON!!

Definition
An intensive fundraising campaign in which callers solicit donations by telephone

this girl is obviously not me

wait a sec

that's not what we did

Doc V called it phonathon but that is not actually what we did. Naah, who cares. As long as it related to PHONE. So yeah, we helped Doc V to call phone number of several candidates of exxonmobil scholarship from USA to Malaysia which was not an easy task. IT WAS NOT AN EASY TASK GUYS. trust me.

First of all, you need to dial a bunch of numbers (8 digits i guess). Then, you need to enter the pin number. After that then, you can dial the number that you want to call. And this process was not easy. Sometimes after you entered the pin number, the line got stuck (it was all the times actually). Sometimes, when you managed to dial the number, that person didn't pick up. Sometimes it went straight into voicemail. Sometimes the number was not available or not even exist!!. Can you see how hard it was. CAN YOU SEE??

There's a couple of stories I wanna share during the phonathon. Firstly, I detected 4 of my juniors from SSP applied for the scholarships which is a YEAYYYY. Well done girls!! I LOVE CAMDEE. But wait, there's no Emerald members? I think they might not interested in engineering. Okay, that's fine. But do you guys know that we need engineer nowadays? Hmmm, whatever. Just be whatever you wanna be. But sometimes, what we actually want to be is not actually what we need to be. Hmm, wait I get confused with my own sentence. Again, whatever.

Well, today I called Rahmah. It was so hard to contact her. It's FREAKING HARD. But, Alhamdulillah I managed to call her and told her what she need to do. After I told her, I asked

Me : You didn't recognize me?
Rahmah : Haa, err, who is this?
bla bla bla bla
Me : You are sspian right?
Rahmah : Yes
Me : I'm an sspian too
Rahmah : Wait, who are you?
Me : I am Syakirah Zokri
Rahmah : Oh KAK SYAKIRAH!!

And suddenly we speak in Malay. Hahaha. I asked, pahal susah gila nak contact kau? Yeah, I had to tell Fairuz and Sereena to tell her to pick up the phone. But actually both of them also have not wake up yet. And she said Line Celcom GILAAAA. haha, it's okay. Finally, I managed to contact you.

Some of the applicants were really hard to contact. Her/his phone number, mom, dad and even the home number. After we tried several times, they finally picked up the phone but

Me : Hello Assalamualaikum, saya dari bla bla bla. Boleh saya bercakap dengan anak Puan? ( I had to speak in Malay cause I'm afraid they will feel insecure)
Puan : Hmm, macam nilah dia nak cancel permohonan tu

WHAT?? You want to cancel? Why don't you tell us earlier!! Another story (After 100 of calls)

Me : Hello Assalamualaikum Encik, saya telefon dari Amerika Syarikat, bla bla. Boleh saya bercakap dengan anak Encik?
Line was not really clear but still, i think he could hear me cause I heard him
Encik : Budak-budak ni. main main. *Speak with another person
tuut tuut tuut *He ended the call

WHAT THE #%@#%R%@#R@?? When I speak in English, you ended the call. When I talked in Malay, you said I'm a kid who wants to prank you? WHAATTT?? THIS IS SOOOO SAD T.T
Whatever lah pak cik. Enough. I had enough.

And that was my story. Next time, if you apply for scholarship, make sure your phone is always with you. And make sure your parents also know about it even your orang gaji sekalipun. So that you won't miss the opportunity to get the scholarships. And please, check your email daily and not to forget the spam folder. Please guys and girls. Grab the opportunity!! That's all for today. Bye peeps, toodles and Assalamualaikum.
